The Bremerton Backpack Brigade fills each Backpack/"Take Home" Bag with kid-friendly, shelf-stable food, including fresh fruit and vegetables. 

It costs $10 to $14 per week for each bag. Donations of non-perishable foods help to lower that cost. 

Donations of dollars allow us to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables each week, fill large boxes of food at school breaks and supplement non-perishables when pantry supplies run low. 

Starting in Fall 2022 we are focused on offering whole foods and more healthy choices, in addition to our monthly protein vouchers/coupons that can be used to purchase fresh milk, meat, eggs and other protein sources.

  Seasoning packs (taco, sloppy joes, Italian, bouillon, etc.
  Staples (flour, sugar, oil, salt, pepper, mayo, mustard, ketchup)
  Ziplock bags (quart and gallon)

 

 

 For the safety of our students, plastic jars only,

please no glass jars or items past sell-by dates.

Also, no economy sizes (too heavy)!
